Privacy Policy

The short version

This is a reading site. Phase 1 has no user accounts, no comments, and no newsletter signup. The site does not ask you for personal information to read it. The main thing collected is anonymous traffic analytics, so the site can tell which articles get read.

What is collected

  • Analytics: the site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to measure anonymous traffic, such as which pages are visited, roughly where readers come from, and which articles get read to the end. GA4 does not give this site your name, email, or precise location.
  • Server logs: like most sites, the host keeps standard server logs (pages requested, browser type, approximate location from IP address) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify individual readers.
  • Outbound links: articles link to live Polymarket market pages and to news sources. Clicking those links takes you to sites with their own privacy policies. This policy does not cover them.

What is not collected in Phase 1

No accounts, no passwords, no payment details, and no email signup exist on this site yet. The newsletter panel on the homepage is a placeholder: it does not collect or store email addresses until a public edition is approved and a real signup is built, at which point this policy will be updated to describe it.

Cookies

Analytics uses cookies to tell new readers from returning ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still reads fine without them.

Data sharing

Analytics data is processed by Google under Google’s terms. This site does not sell reader data, and it does not share identifiable reader data with advertisers or sponsors. Phase 1 has no advertisers or sponsors.

Your choices

  • Use your browser’s cookie controls or an analytics opt-out to stop analytics measurement.
  • Contact appliedfieldco@gmail.com with privacy questions. Because Phase 1 collects no accounts or emails, there is usually nothing to delete, but questions still get answered.

Changes

If the site adds accounts, comments, a newsletter signup, or any feature that collects personal information, this policy will be updated first, and the change will be noted here. The version on this page is the one in force.
